Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading Multinational Engineering Consultancies company. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years' experience in industrial project for the job of Head of Engineering & Design. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Report directly to the Director
- Responsible for all projects assigned to the Design & Engineering (D&E) Cluster, in terms of financial result, time, quality, client satisfaction, etc.
- Achieve the yearly target capacity utilization rates of the team members and the efficiency of staff occupancy within the Advisory Group (AG), in line with the budget or adjusted targets if instructed by the DAG.
- Manage the Design & Engineering (D&E) Cluster, take responsibility for development of the D&E team at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
- Lead the D&E Cluster as defined in the HR policy, within the framework of company policy and in consultation with the HR department in order to achieve an appropriate qualitative and quantitative staffing of the department.
- Take responsibility to assure QHSE, well-being and good working environment of the staff in the Project Team.
- Ensure the D & E cluster having adequate knowledge in term of technical capabilities, personel qualifications, relevant sofware and updated D & E manual.
- Ensure the knowledge and intelectual property manage internally.
- In Cooperation with I&B Business Development Manager & DAG to maintain contacts with existing clients and develop contacts with new clients in the framework of Company Business Development strategy, in order to detect opportunities, acquire new commissions, replenish the order portfolio and expand company reputation
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from reputable universities
- Minimum 20 years of experience in the engineering and design
- At least 10 years' experience working as a Head of Design & Engineering leading the D&E teams coupled with a track record of project delivery
- Must have a back ground in working within the industrial sector of the construction industry
- Experience within an international consultancy organization preferable
- Having good strategic planning skill, well-structured and well organized
- Advance communication skills. Able to manage and motivate people at all levels, from staff to subcontractors
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary activities and in intercultural environments
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining external relationships at senior levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams and networks and influence outcomes at many levels in an organization
- Excellent project management skills - with the ability to identify critical path issues and develop solutions to keep a program on track
- Solid leadership skills, mentoring, and coaching
- Strong problem-solving ability and effective employee management experience
