Award-winning executive recruitment firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading fashion and lifestyle retail group in Thailand seeking an experienced Head of Retail Merchandising & Buying. The organization operates a portfolio of internationally recognized brands and is known for delivering modern, experience-driven retail through innovation and technology.

This role will lead and execute the end-to-end merchandising and buying strategy across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels, ensuring product mix, inventory investment, and financial planning are aligned with brand positioning, customer demand, and commercial objectives, while maximizing full-price sell-through and minimizing markdowns.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the merchandising and buying strategy across all channels, including wholesale key accounts.

  • Own seasonal assortment planning, allocation, replenishment, and overall inventory performance, including sell-through, STR, and stock turnover.

  • Drive merchandise financial planning, covering Open-to-Buy (OTB), range architecture, and pricing strategy.

  • Leverage performance analytics to guide weekly and monthly trading decisions with agility and commercial focus.

  • Partner closely with Wholesale, Retail Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Expansion teams to ensure aligned and effective execution.

  • Identify consumer trends and market opportunities to strengthen and expand the product portfolio.

  • Lead, coach, and develop merchandising, buying, planning, and allocation teams to build high performance and capability.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive years in merchandising and buying, with experience in a senior leadership role.

  • Strong experience in lifestyle, premium, luxury, or sportswear retail.

  • Proven strength in merchandise financial planning and inventory optimization.

  • Highly analytical, commercially driven, and collaborative.

  • Experience with ERP/merchandising systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent command of English, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
