Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a global MNC in designing and producing customized industrial packaging solutions for advanced technology segments industries, known for their sustainable packaging solutions and commitment to reducing their environmental impact through innovative and sustainable packaging materials and design. They are seeking an experienced packaging designer, with at least 4 year(s) experience in 3D modelling software or Graphic Design for the position of Design Packaging Engineer. The job will be based Penang.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Adhere to company design policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Design the complete packaging solution that meets the requirement from Sales and customer within given parameters and packaging budget etc.
- Provide technical support to the sales and customers on projects, packaging design, material specifications, packaging instructions, engineering presentations etc.
- Coordinate with production, QA department, sourcing department and supplier to ensure the product-ability of the design.
- Interact directly with customer and supplier for date gathering, design support, etc.
- Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested & perform any other tasks assigned by manager.
- Ensure all the task completed within the deadline.
- Leading project with small teams.
Key job requirements include:
- Possess at least bachelor's degree in engineering or Design Related Courses.
- Experience in 3D Modelling software & CAD software.
- Minimum (3-5) years' design experience in Packaging Industries or application engineering background in a light engineering, machine building, Tooling design preferred.
- Design knowledge in Thermoforming, corrugation, foam, wooden crate & plywood is advantageous.
- Good learning ability, creative thinking and able to work independently.
- Good adaptability to multiple environments with hardworking attitude.
- Ability to respond effectively to internal/external customer inquiries or complaints.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinating initiatives in multiple locations.
