Job Summary
Our respected client is seeking an experienced Payroll Expert of the highest professional standing and a background in payroll-related tasks such as processing payroll information, reviewing and performing payroll audits, and serving as a point of contact for questions about pay policies and procedures for the job of Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist is expected to be a meticulous and independent team-player with excellent people skills and a high aptitude for numbers. The job is in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines, and offers a day shift and a hybrid work arrangement.


Key job responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update Payroll Software
  • Provide, coordinate, and consolidate all necessary data to process payroll in a timely and accurate manner following legal and company standards
  • Validate payroll and tax reports to ensure all payroll related data proceeded accurately
  • Develop and improve appropriate weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll and statutory reports as needed.
  • Ensure full compliance for the payroll/statutory reports
  • Knowledge of the Company's policies and procedures related to payroll, timekeeping, audit, and accounting.
  • Year- end processing/taxation
  • Manage ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested by the Executive and Finance Leadership team.
  • Coordinate with Internal Finance team and stakeholders through email correspondences and weekly meetings.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by management.


Key job requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) but not required or any equivalent certification
  • Three (3) years and above of work experience as a Payroll Officer with at least 300 employees.
  • With BPO/Shared Service experience
  • Familiarity with all facets of timekeeping, payroll, and basic accounting principles
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • With background in using Payroll Software
  • Proficient Microsoft applications especially Excel
  • High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to deliver work on time and within deadline
  • Able to do tasks with minimum supervision
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess the flexibility to work on various projects and deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieving continuous improvement and total quality in the performance of all assigned duties.
