Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of one of the World's Largest Food companies. Our respected client is seeking a Plant Manager who oversees all plant operations and production by working directly with and providing leadership to the supervisor. The job is based in Bulacan.
Key job responsibilities include:
  1. Planning and coordinating production activities: The plant manager is responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to ensure that the plant operates at maximum efficiency. They must manage the production schedule, ensure that all equipment is working properly, and make adjustments as needed to meet production goals.
  2. Managing staff: The plant manager is responsible for managing the staff of the plant, including hiring, training, and supervising employees. They must ensure that all employees are working in a safe and productive environment, and that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  3. Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance: The plant manager must ensure that the plant is operating in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. They must develop and implement safety policies and procedures, conduct safety training, and ensure that all employees are following safety protocols.
  4. Managing budgets: The plant manager must manage the plant's budget, including setting financial goals, creating and managing budgets, and controlling costs. They must work with other departments to ensure that financial goals are met and that the plant is operating within its budget.
  5. Developing and implementing strategies: The plant manager must develop and implement strategies to improve plant operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. They must stay current on industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements and new technology.
  6. Maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers: The plant manager must maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure that the plant has the necessary materials and resources to operate effectively. They must also work with customers to ensure that their needs are being met and that their orders are fulfilled on time and within budget.
  7. Managing maintenance and repair: The plant manager is responsible for managing maintenance and repair activities, including overseeing preventive maintenance programs, scheduling repairs and maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
  8. Reporting and analyzing performance: The plant manager must report on plant performance, including production rates, efficiency, safety, and other metrics. They must analyze this data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process changes and improvements.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • At least three years of work experience as a Production/Plant Manager or Process Engineer in an FMCG manufacturing setting
  • At least three years of experience managing a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Systems thinker
  • Computer literate
  • Good people management skills and overall business managerial skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Has the ability to resolve problems in a respectful manner
