Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on manufacturing building materials. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10 years' experience ceramics manufacturing building materials for the job of Production Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
- Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Oversight: Develop and implement production schedules, considering resources, capacity, and customer demands. Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow, minimize downtime, and maintain on-time delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce strict quality control measures to guarantee that all finished products meet our high standards. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Cost Budgeting and Management: Work closely with the finance team to develop production budgets and manage expenses effectively. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a diverse team of production staff. Motivate, train, and mentor employees to maximize their potential and ensure a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement and maintain safety protocols to reduce workplace accidents and promote a culture of safety.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.
- Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to maintain an efficient supply chain for raw materials and production inputs, ensuring continuous production flow.
- Machinery and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment to ensure their optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular production reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and present performance metrics to the senior management team.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field. A master's degree would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in ceramics manufacturing or a closely related industry, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated expertise in production planning, cost budgeting, and resource management.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and lead teams effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality control and process optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, capable of resolving production-related challenges promptly.
- In-depth knowledge of ceramics manufacturing processes, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret production data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
