Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a prominent and established manufacturing company in the Philippines. Our respected client is seeking for a QC Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for all Quality Assurance or Quality Control Activities for the various construction projects.This position will report in Makati, Philippines.

Job Summary:

The QC Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems, installations, and materials comply with the required quality standards and specifications. The role involves conducting inspections, monitoring ongoing construction and fit-out activities, and verifying the quality of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. The engineer coordinates closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues, document non-conformities, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical installations (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, etc.) to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor and verify that all materials and equipment used on-site meet approved requirements and certifications
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and project plans
  • Prepare and maintain quality-related documents such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure timely corrective actions
  • Ensure all mechanical works comply with local codes, industry standards, and client requirements
  • Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and reports
  • Report quality concerns and suggest improvements to prevent recurrence of issues
  • Promote a strong culture of quality and safety within the project team and worksite


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) license in the Philippines
  • Proven experience of at least years as a Mechanical Engineer in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and other building mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant Philippine codes and standards (e.g., locally adapted ASHRAE, National Plumbing Code of the Philippines, Fire Code of the Philippines).
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Trace).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in construction sites
