Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Industrial Division is exclusively partnered with multinational organisation who is well established in the field of logistics. Our respected client is seeking a Country Sales Director with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
The job will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Job summary
The ideal candidate is responsible for support planning, marketing, and sales activities, to maintain and develop sales of the company's range of services to the Malaysian office's key accounts, in accordance with agreed business plans.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Identify and promote the company's freight management and logistics services with targeted customers to ensure positive result of successful specifications.

  • Look out for prospective new accounts and seek opportunities to increase saturation of existing ones and increase market share.
  • Be knowledgeable on all service portfolio (Air freight, Ocean freight, local and cross boarder trucking, 3rd party logistics, project cargo and customs brokerage) for effective and correct specifications.
  • Keep up to date with global forwarding and logistics market and competitors' trends.
  • Monitor and track projects with the use of company value added services.
  • Maintain relations with clients by providing support, information, and quality service at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with Sales Team to ensure pull-through of specified services and proposals


Key job requirements include:

  • Must hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years' of experience in relevant industry is a must.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and work well with other members of the Sales Team and company-wide employees.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and able to present to large and small audiences effectively.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Resourceful, creative, and able to collect information from a variety of internal and external sources in order to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Consistently maintain a positive, diligent, open-minded, and professional attitude internally and externally.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time.
