Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf on one of the world's renounced Academic Research Institute that provides learning and Education to people. Our respective client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer will deal with the infrastructure design and programming, research, and development of the content management systems. This job is based in Makati and currently WFH setup until further notice.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test software by utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, programming technologies, and adopting the prescribed team approach and standards
- Work within a cross-functional team including developers, testers, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders
- Engage actively with the Development Team by sharing ideas, assisting team members where practical, and participating in code reviews
- Continue improving depth of understanding in the respective applications looked after by the team, and of the business context/rules behind them
- Supervise junior to mid-level software engineers to complete deliverables
Key Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in a software development role using Java and Spring, and has experience in developing REST APIs. You will be a good fit if you are an independent self-starter who is keen on learning new things with a proven experience in taking the lead on different projects.
- Desirable:
- Data manipulation, tuning, and performance improvement work across a range of databases including PostgresSQL, MongoDB and MS SQL
- Knowledge in AWS and industry recognized certifications in one or more of the named technologies and Agile development practices such as Scrum and Kanban s a distinct advantage
- Experience with front-end development frameworks such as Angular, jQuery is a plus
- Software development tools including but not limited to: IntelliJ IDEA, SQL Developer, Git, Jira, Jenkins
