Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of an insurance and financial services company. Our respective client is looking for a Senior Manager for Accounting who will overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls. The role will be reporting to the company owner with onsite work requirement in Makati City.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full spectrum of management accounting functions, including revenue collection, budgeting, and procurement, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Insurance Commission, SEC, and DOLE.
- Manage and process payroll with strict adherence to confidentiality, accuracy, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise junior accounting team members, supporting their daily responsibilities and professional development.
- Ensure strict compliance with corporate policies, regulatory standards, and internal controls, including the proper maintenance and filing of accounting and compliance documents in both hard and soft copy formats.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Lead the quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with team members on account analysis, reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Develop, implement, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach toward business issues.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Comprehensive experience in BIR Tax compliance in the Philippines.
- Experience in managing payroll, government compliance, and day-to-day office administration.
- Strong and effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- With ability to guide, mentor, motivate, and supervise junior team members effectively.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willing to work onsite
