This insurance company is looking for an UX/UI Designer who has experience designing and shipping software or products for complex digital environments. The job is based in BGC, Taguig City, Philippines.

About the role:
As a UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for delivering high quality user experiences that enable people to have money when they need it.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand business objectives and design solutions that help us meet our targets.
  • Map user journeys and flows that help visualize design concepts.
  • Translate business rules into wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and user interface across different platforms or devices, always striving to deliver intuitive and hassle-free solutions.
  • Optimize existing user interface designs by conducting user research and usability testing as needed; design is never done.
  • Present and demo your designs to stakeholders and explain how you came about your solution.

Key requirements include:

  • At least 5 years of experience designing and shipping software or products for complex digital environments.
  • Expertise in using industry standard tools to visualize your ideas. We use Figma for end-to-end collaboration and are firm-believers of Figma's auto-layout.
  • Be detail-oriented and observant. You must have a deep understanding of basic design principles and are able to design for technical constraints.
  • Naturally curious. You understand why certain experiences work and are interested to find out why they do.
  • Quick to learn. As a startup, we make a lot of experiments that are industry-firsts for insurance.
  • A strong team player. You should be comfortable engaging with stakeholders and developers to solve problems through design together.
  • Great communicator. Beyond the screens, you must be able to effectively communicate how your solutions contribute to our end goals, and see-through a project/task from concept to finished product.
  • Good analytical skills. Data informs our decisions and is an integral part of how we work.
  • Basic understanding of HTML & CSS. This allows us to effectively communicate with developers.
  • Experience designing for insurance or fintech.
  • Experience working with design systems.
  • An understanding of how business, product management, data, operations, and marketing processes work and able to collaborate effectively with those teams.
  • Experience in research methods for UX, like usability testing, concept testing, in-depth interviews.
