Cluster Logistics Manager - Southeast Asia (Chemical Manufacturing)
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading Multinational company in chemical manufacturing. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years' experience in logistics for the job of Cluster Logistics Manager, IMSP (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore & PNG) - Chemical Manufacturing. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:

  • Report directly to the Regional Director
  • Responsible for the management of the logistics budget (costs, quality, service & HSE).
  • Ensure all business logistics requirements are understood, documented and met (includes
  • Operating manuals, legislation, regulations & HSE requirements)
  • Development & Implementation of Logistics improvement programs
  • Contract manager for all 3rd party logistics services covering the provisions of warehousing and transport, including invoice approval
  • Ensuring timely and accurate availability of reports, metrics and databases required to manage logistics costs and service
  • Responsible for deployment of the standardized Logistics processes
  • Supervise personnel, including development of objectives and necessary training; review performance; and recommend salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, hiring and/or disciplinary actions
  • Increase the Logistics maturity level in the area of responsibility
  • Ensuring availability of required Transport / warehouse capacity, including ensuring optimal transport mode is used

Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in engineering or logistics or operation discipline from reputable university
* 15 + years of relevant work experience (operations, logistics area)
* Experience & knowledge of warehouse management & transportation
* People management
* Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues,
* Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM
* Project Management skills
* Financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
* Strong influencing & Communication skills, Fluent in English, both verbal and written
* Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint,)
* Job will require limited travels within the cluster country
