Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of the top Singaporean multinational technology company which focuses mainly on e-commerce. Our respected client is seeking a Law professional for the job of Associate Legal Counsel to support their business digital financial business. This role will report to their HQ counsel in Singapore. The job is in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines and is currently on a Dayshift (9:30am - 6:30pm) Onsite arrangement.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal guidance on insurance regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Draft, review, and advise on legal documentation relating to insurance and regulatory matters.
  • Review, update, and recommend for approval standard documentation for derivative transactions, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and prevailing market and industry practices.
  • Advise on contractual matters, including regulatory, risk, and compliance considerations.
  • Propose, draft, and implement amendments to the Bank Agreement and other governing documents, including Financial Regulations and related policies.
  • Deliver legal advice and support to the Bank and its operating entities, through the General Counsel, on financial, investment, and regulatory reporting obligations to internal and external authorities.
  • Manage and advise on complex, sensitive, and confidential legal matters as assigned by the General Counsel


Job Requirements

  • 3-7 years experience in legal field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, must be a bar exam passer.
  • Experience working in financial services company or at a law firm or in-house.
  • Familiarity with financial products especially payments or consumer lending products
  • Proficient in preparing complex legal documents, including briefs, confidential legal opinions, and certificates; skilled in leading negotiations for complex projects, programs, and similar transactions.
  • Ability to conceive and oversee the negotiation of diverse legal documents, ensuring they align with both external standards and internal requirements
