Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a top multinational technology company which focuses mainly on e-commerce. Our respected client is seeking a Legal Counsel to support their business dispute and compliance matters. This role will report to their HQ counsel in Singapore. The job is in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines and is currently on a Dayshift (9:30am - 6:30pm) Onsite arrangement.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with business units to provide timely, practical legal advice on a broad range of matters, including trade, labor, tax, and general compliance.
  • Review and update internal policies, templates, and operational guidelines, ensuring their alignment with legal requirements and group-wide standards, while supporting effective implementation.
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage sensitive internal investigations, grievances, and disputes-assessing legal risks and recommending appropriate actions and outcomes.
  • Handle regulatory inquiries, investigations, and inspections by preparing timely responses and advising on necessary corrective measures and process improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and manage legal risks, ensuring a balanced approach between compliance obligations and business objectives.
  • Support the Litigation team on general disputes by contributing to strategy development and identifying opportunities to strengthen internal controls and operational processes.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments impacting the business, and provide actionable recommendations to ensure continued compliance and operational readiness.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders on legal updates, compliance risk areas, and best practices to promote awareness and accountability across the organization.


Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience in legal dispute field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, must be a bar exam passer.
  • Solid working knowledge of Philippine laws; regional exposure and experience are considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-border legal matters and stakeholders, with a strong track record of effective project execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, advise, and collaborate across business functions, legal teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal audiences.
  • Adept at navigating fast-paced, high-growth, and matrixed environments, consistently balancing commercial objectives with legal and regulatory compliance.
