Our respected client is seeking a HR Manager to lead and manage the full scope of our Human Resources function.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Manager to lead and manage the full scope of our Human Resources function. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities, in-depth HR knowledge, and a solid command of the English language-both spoken and written. This role requires overseeing end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, development, compliance, and compensation and benefits. The HR Manager will be directly responsible for bi-monthly payroll preparation, attendance monitoring, and employee records management. The candidate must be comfortable working independently and be familiar with the unique challenges and dynamics of a start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and processes aligned with organizational goals.
- Supervise and coach one HR associate to ensure efficient HR operations
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Prepare and finalize bi-monthly payroll (every 15th and 30th) ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and HMO contributions
- Monitor employee timekeeping, attendance, tardiness, and leave balances
- Handle employee relations matter such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Lead performance management, employee development, and training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and timely government reporting
- Maintain and update accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making
- Organize employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an HR managerial or generalist role.
- Strong command of the English language (both written and spoken) is required
- Solid experience in payroll processing and government compliance
- Familiarity with leave and timekeeping systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS platforms (e.g., Sprout)
- Knowledgeable in Philippine labor laws and statutory requirements
- HR certification (e.g., CHRP, PHR) is an advantage
