Award-winning executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group, is recruiting on behalf of one of Asia's fastest-growing lifestyle and consumer product startups to hire their Chief Technology Officer.

Our client has rapidly scaled from a bold idea into a regional success story, with a strong brand presence and ambitious growth plans across multiple markets. To support this next phase of expansion, they are seeking a seasoned technology leader to drive the development of a scalable, future-ready tech ecosystem that will anchor their business for years to come.

As a CTO, you will lead the development and management of the technological ecosystem behind one of the region's most talked-about lifestyle and consumer brands.
You will oversee and mentor a skilled team of 80-100+ technologists, including 3-5 IT Directors, driving cohesion and innovation across the company's entire technology landscape.
This high-impact role is ideal for a builder, strategist, and leader who excels in fast-paced environments. You will scale custom systems-from AI-powered customer engagement tools to advanced B2B sales platforms-supporting the company's rapid growth and market expansion.


Job Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a long-term technology strategy that supports the company's aggressive growth plans. Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning for competitive advantage.

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing technology team of 80-100+ professionals. Directly manage and mentor 3-5 IT Directors, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

  • Own the full technology stack, overseeing the architecture and development of complex in-house systems, including:

    • Retail & CRM: Salesforce and related integrations
    • Customer Engagement: Proprietary AI chatbot platform
    • Commercial Systems: B2B sales credit and order management platform
    • Operations: Inventory, warehouse, and logistics management systems
    • Post-Sales: Product warranty and service platform
  • Promote agile methodologies to ensure timely, on-budget delivery of high-quality software and infrastructure projects. Continuously improve development processes and system reliability.

  • Act as the primary technology advisor to the CEO and executive leadership. Collaborate with brand and department heads to deliver technology solutions that drive business value.

  • Manage the technology department budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation aligned with strategic priorities.

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in senior technology leadership roles (e.g., CTO, IT Director, VP of Engineering, Head of Technology) within high-growth manufacturing or consumer product companies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technology teams through rapid scaling, balancing the need to build for the future while managing current operational complexities.

  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, and data engineering. While not expected to code daily, you can effectively guide and earn the respect of engineering teams.

  • Experience managing and integrating systems similar to our tech stack (CRM like Salesforce, E-commerce, SCM, WMS) is highly valued. Knowledge of AI/ML applications is a strong advantage.

  • Proven track record of growing and mentoring sizable engineering teams (50+). You excel at attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders. You focus on ROI and strategic impact, not just technology.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, international environments and collaborating across diverse teams.
