The Design and Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing our design process, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the success of our sustainable architecture projects.


Job Responsibilities

Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of designers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, providing clear direction and expectations.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Identify and address team member challenges and conflicts.
  • Manage team workload and ensure optimal resource allocation.

Design:

  • Collaborate with architects and designers on projects, providing expertise and guidance on sustainable design principles and best practices.
  • Utilize your proficiency in Rhino, AutoCAD, and Maya to create detailed 3D models, renderings, and presentations.
  • Assist in developing innovative and sustainable design solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest sustainable design technologies and trends.

Operations:

  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the production of construction documents and drawings.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the design team, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Sustainability:

  • Integrate sustainability principles into all aspects of the design process.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and recommend sustainable materials, construction methods, and building systems.
  • Support the team in achieving LEED certification or other relevant sustainability standards.

Job Requirements

  • At least bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in architectural design, with a strong focus on sustainability.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading design teams.
  • Excellent proficiency in Rhino, AutoCAD, and Maya.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
