Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering and environmental solutions company specializing in water and wastewater treatment systems in the Philippines. Our client is seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager for a full onsite role based in Calamba, Laguna.

Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Manager will report directly to the President and Technical Director. The role is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting and finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound financial management. This position will provide financial leadership, support strategic decision-making, and manage a small accounting team while coordinating with third-party service providers handling day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the President and Technical Director and provide financial insights to support business and strategic decisions.
  • Oversee and manage the company's financial systems, accounting processes, and internal controls.
  • Review and validate financial records prepared by third-party providers, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise two (2) accounting assistants to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and organizational goals.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and reporting practices.

Key Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management - in a Managerial level.
  • Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and external partners.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Calamba, Laguna.
