Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading national company with a core focus on logistics. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 20 years' experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum 10 years in managerial level in big operation company for the job of Finance & Accounting Manager. The job is based in Banjarmasin, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Direct reporting to the CFO and Owner
  • Responsible for maintaining accounting records such as profit and loss accounts, ledger accounts, and the balance sheet of the company
  • Supervise all operations in the accounting and finance of the company including budgeting, forecasting, assessing risks and ensuring all accounting activities comply with good accounting practises and tax regulations inline with the group policy
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Summarise current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Guide accounting admin staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Secure financial information by completing database backups
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Provide technical support and advice on management
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Plan, assign, and review staff's work

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Working experience at Managerial level for more than 10 years
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • Awareness of business trends
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with local taxation regulations
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Professional qualification such as CPA or equivalent
  • Tax certification Brevet A & B
