Monroe Consulting Group, an award-winning executive recruitment firm, is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in the automotive manufacturing industry. Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven HR Manager (Chinese Speaking) to lead the establishment of their new manufacturing plant in Thailand.
The HR Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the full scope of HR functions for the new plant, including policy and procedure development, factory operations support, general affairs, and strategic manpower planning. This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to drive business efficiency and support overall factory management.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the HR set-up and planning for the new plant in alignment with corporate and local regulations.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational excellence and legal compliance.
Drive strategic manpower planning, talent acquisition, and workforce development to support the ramp-up of production.
Establish and manage HR administrative systems, including payroll, compensation & benefits, performance management, and employee records.
Provide HR support to plant leadership in areas of employee engagement, labor relations, and organizational development.
Ensure smooth coordination between HQ and local teams to align HR strategies and corporate culture.
Oversee general affairs, including facility services, office administration, and safety compliance.
Serve as a key liaison for communication between Chinese-speaking stakeholders and local Thai teams.
Manage relationships with external vendors, recruitment agencies, and local government authorities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; experience in plant set-up is a strong advantage.
Good command of English and proficiency in Chinese (HSK Level 4-6 preferred).
Strong understanding of Thai labor laws and HR compliance.
Proven leadership and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a cross-cultural, multi-stakeholder environment.
