Job Summary
The Key Account Specialist is responsible for driving new business growth while managing and expanding relationships with existing clients within the assigned sector. This role requires a results-oriented professional with strong sales acumen, in-depth knowledge of trading principles, and a keen understanding of market dynamics. The position acts as the primary point of contact for clients, proactively identifying market trends, negotiating deals, and contributing to revenue and market share growth.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects through research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Conduct product and service presentations to prospective clients.
Account Management
Manage and grow assigned key accounts by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Cross-sell and upsell products to maximize revenue potential.
Trading & Market Intelligence
Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify trading opportunities.
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and agreements with clients and suppliers.
Oversee trade execution and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
Maintain a strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics.
Collaboration & Reporting
Coordinate with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems and prepare regular sales performance reports.
Participate in team meetings, contribute to sales forecasts, and share market insights to support strategic planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in B2B sales or key account management, preferably in food distribution, FMCG, or trading industries.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Results-driven with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Knowledge of trading practices, commodity markets, or industry-specific regulations is an advantage.
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willing to work on-site in Sucat, Parañaque City.
