Plant Manager (Manufacturing) Davao Del Sur

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, an executive recruitment firm, is representing a client that produces 100% certified organic, all-natural, non-GMO organic products. They are currently seeking a Plant Manager with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably extensive in the Coconut Industry and a management capacity. The candidate must possess the necessary technical skills to efficiently manage a coconut processing facility. This position is in Davao and offers a flexible work schedule from Monday to Saturday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Summary:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing all daily activities at the plant, from production and manufacturing processes to compliance with policies and procedures. They will also develop methods to enhance stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.

Key job responsibilities include:

1.Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
2.Enhance production, increase asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining high-quality standards.
3.Work closely with the Project team to meet technical requirements of the plant, including machinery, equipment, and other plant assets.
4.Lead and manage a team of Key Officers, fostering collaboration for optimal results.
5.Ensure plant output, product quality, and timely delivery are maintained at all times.
6.Effectively allocate resources and utilize assets to achieve optimal results.
7.Develop and implement strategies in line with the company's strategic goals, providing clear direction and focus.
8.Continuously monitor operations and initiate corrective measures when necessary.
9.Build and maintain a trusting relationship with the workgroup; recruit, manage, and develop staff effectively.
10.Analyze data to identify and eliminate waste and reduce overtime.
11.Adhere to and enforce all plant safety procedures.
12.Create systems and processes to track and optimize productivity, establishing standards and performance targets to maximize asset returns.
13.Ensure compliance with food safety standards and certification requirements.
14.Maintain discipline and professional conduct among direct reports.
15.Engage in training, influencing, and learning from staff.
16.Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in production management.

Job Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or a similar technical discipline, is preferred.
  • Requires 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the corresponding field.
  • Strong leadership skills are highly desirable.
  • Seeks an individual who can introduce innovative ideas, new technologies, and significant value to the organization.
  • An MBA qualification is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in the Coconut Industry, particularly in a managerial capacity, is essential.
  • Must possess the technical expertise needed to manage a coconut manufacturing plant effectively.
  • Should have a professional level of proficiency in communication, both written and verbal.
