Sales Executive (Building Materials)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a diversified global leader in high-performance building materials industry, supporting construction projects.

Job summary:
The successful applicant will focus on key account penetration, business development, and driving sales of the organization's products. The applicant must have strong relationship-building skills, industry knowledge, and a passion for achieving sales targets.

Job responsibilities:

  • Key Account Management: Build and expand relationships with dealers, fabricators, contractors, and related industry players to specific products.
  • CRM & Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce CRM, including project records, customer data, and daily visit reports.
  • Pipeline Development: Develop a strong project pipeline within the KL Region.
  • Lead Generation & Business Development: Proactively hunt for new leads and create business opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement business strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Distributor Collaboration: Work closely with distributors to win project specifications and drive product adoption.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry changes.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, technical support, and handle product claims to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Performance: Meet and exceed individual and group KPIs.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in construction project sales or surfacing materials (e.g: laminate, wallpaper, carpets etc.)
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is essential.
  • Strong ability to achieve sales targets and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be open to outstation travel when required.
  • Ability to confidently present products to clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & CRM systems (Salesforce).
