Specification Executive (Building Materials)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a diversified global leader in high-performance building materials industry, supporting construction projects.

Job summary:
The successful applicant will focus on building strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, and key project stakeholders to specify the organization's products in construction and design projects. The application will also manage project pipelines, support distributor partners, and help grow our brand presence in the Central Region.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts such as architects, interior designers, developers, and other specifiers - to have the organization's products selected for projects.
  • Build and maintain a project pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking and updates in the CRM system.
  • Report and manage all relevant data: project records, customer files, daily visit logs, and sales activities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential customers in the market.
  • Collaborate closely with distributors to win and convert specification projects into orders.
  • Execute sales and marketing strategies as outlined by the management team.
  • Gather and report on market intelligence, including competitive activity and market trends.
  • Conduct effective product presentations, demonstrations, and provide technical advice to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Specification related role.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Enjoys engaging with people and building professional relationships.
  • Must be open to outstation travel when required.
  • Ability to confidently present products to clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & CRM systems (Salesforce).
