Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global player in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services and operates the greenest fleet in this segment. The company owns and operates approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3,000 port calls yearly. This organization is a people-driven company with the belief that businesses should not only be forming lasting services but also lasting careers. This job is on a temporary work-from-home setup with office based in Makati City.

Job Summary:

You are a self-motivated IT professional who's currently looking for a new role focusing on IT security. As a Security Architect you will have a thorough understanding of the company's' IT systems and Enterprise Architecture. A key area of work will be in providing recommendations to improve and update the security of the company's IT systems and services through hardware, software, and processes.

In this role you will set user policies and protocols, monitor them, and enforce them, as well as set up countermeasures that protect the system when security is compromised. You must balance the requirement for open easy access and usability, with risk and security to provide optimal business value for the company. You will be exposed to a broad range of systems and environments, as well as work alongside talented and dedicated IT professionals across the organisation.

Key Job responsibilities include:

  • Monitor security guidelines
  • Establish and enforce the Security Policy and Trust Model for Administrators to follow in delegating and granting application privileges
  • Establish and enforce the Security Model, technologies and standards for system architects and designers
  • Track warnings of new types of security threats and assures that the systems in place guard against these threats
  • Establish the systems for discovering, tracking, and convicting abusers of security and system integrity
  • Perform periodic risk evaluations and security audits on existing systems
  • Maintain and manage vendors of key security software components


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science with specialization in IT security
  • 10 years' experience within hands-on IT security work, including security audits, designing security in enterprise systems, designing security policy and establishment of response teams
  • 5 years of experience with practical security work in an operations environment CISSP, CISM, CCSP or equivalent security certification
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to understand business requirements and translate these into adequate security requirements
  • Strong IT skills with hands on experience with security tools usage and security testing Practical knowledge of security protocols and standards
  • Ability to drive implementations across the organization to achieve relevant security certifications like the ISO 27K certifications
  • Ability to define security policies and standards for system development, deployment, and operations and to enforce these in a project and operational setting
  • Knowledge of Internet security standards and methods to secure Internet base services
