The company is looking for an experienced Sr. Legal Manager with a background working in F&B companies.
The Senior Manager, Legal and Special Projects is a dual-role leader who combines strong legal expertise with the ability to drive high-impact strategic initiatives. This role oversees the company's legal operations and, at the same time, takes on business-critical projects that accelerate growth, strengthen organizational capabilities, and enhance long-term value.
The ideal candidate is a lawyer with strong commercial and strategic instincts-able to provide sound legal counsel while also delivering business impact through transformational projects.
Responsibilities:
Legal & Risk
- Oversee the company's in-house legal operations, provide counsel on various legal matters like contracts, compliance, litigation, and risk management to ensure the business operates within legal boundaries and aligns with its strategic goals
- Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Review and manage contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure that stakeholders comply with legal requirements.
- Support corporate counsel in various business transactions and ensure compliance with corporate and industry regulations.
- Develop risk control and management strategies to reduce the financial and legal impact on the business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external law firms and other legal advisors.
- Manage the legal department's budget, staff, and operations, ensuring efficient workflows and collaboration with other departments.
- Create and implement legal policies, procedures, and documents to safeguard the company's legal interests.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, representing the company in legal proceedings when necessary.
Special Projects
- Lead and deliver cross-functional projects that strengthen business performance and support corporate growth.
- Partner with leadership and lead projects in areas such as:
- Corporate development - expansion into new markets, new business models, or strategic partnerships.
- Operational excellence - process improvement, cost optimization, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Business strategy execution - tracking KPIs, analyzing trends, and ensuring initiatives align with long-term strategic goals.
- M&A support and integration - evaluating opportunities, supporting due diligence, and driving post-merger execution.
- Act as a project owner for critical initiatives, ensuring milestones are achieved and results are measurable.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and commercial teams to assess ROI, manage risks, and create sustainable business value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable project success.
