Award-winning executive recruitment firm, Monroe Consulting Group is a well-established and leading chemical trading company in Thailand, currently expanding its commercial team to support continued growth. They are looking for a Business Development Manager who can independently drive specialty trading, sourcing, and business development across food ingredients and personal care ingredients.

This Business Development manager will drive growth in specialty ingredient trading across food and personal care, owning the business from sourcing to sales. This position will build supplier portfolios, develop new customers, and create long-term partnerships as part of a growing commercial team


Job Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth for specialty ingredients trading across food or personal care applications

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end trading process, including product sourcing, supplier/principal development, and customer management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new principals and suppliers aligned with market needs and growth strategy

  • Develop new customers, applications, and business opportunities to expand the company's specialty portfolio

  • Act as the primary commercial interface between customers, principals, and internal teams

  • Support new product development (NPD) initiatives by sourcing suitable ingredients and coordinating technical and commercial discussions

  • Develop pricing strategies, negotiate commercial terms, and manage margins and profitability

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to support strategic decision-making

  • Achieve sales targets and actively contribute to the company's business expansion strategy

  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to identify, build, and scale new business opportunities within the organization

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or trading within specialty ingredients for food and/or personal care

  • Hands-on experience in specialty trading and sourcing, including supplier/principal management

  • Strong understanding of the chemical / ingredient trading business model

  • Ability to work independently and build a business portfolio from sourcing to sales

  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in both Thai and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
