Award-winning executive recruitment firm, Monroe Consulting Group is partnering with a fast-growing international FMCG company with an entrepreneurial culture and ambitious expansion plans across Asia. As part of its continued growth, the company is establishing its presence in Thailand and is seeking a Key Account Lead (Modern Trade) to drive account strategy and support the initial market setup.

This role calls for a commercially savvy leader who can think strategically while remaining deeply involved in execution within a high-growth environment. You will be responsible for managing and growing key Modern Trade accounts in Thailand while working closely with regional and global stakeholders. The role combines strategic account leadership with hands-on execution and involvement in the early-stage local setup.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic partnerships with key Modern Trade retailers in Thailand, including major hypermarket, supermarket, and other chains.

  • Develop and execute joint business plans, promotional strategies, and category initiatives to support sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Own commercial discussions and negotiations, covering pricing, promotions, and trading terms, in line with overall business objectives.

  • Track and evaluate account performance using sales data and key performance indicators, translating insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Ensure consistent execution and compliance with retailer processes, systems, and operational standards.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between local accounts and regional or global stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  • Support the establishment of the Thailand office in coordination with headquarters and relevant service providers.

  • Assist with operational and administrative requirements during the initial market entry and setup phase.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in Modern Trade key account management within the FMCG sector.

  • Strong understanding of Thailand's retail environment, customer dynamics, and commercial practices.

  • Strategic and commercially minded, with the ability to balance structured planning and hands-on execution.

  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven, comfortable taking ownership and working independently in a high-growth setting.

  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in both Thai and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
