This insurance company is looking for a Data Analyst Lead who has experience in data analysis with proven business experience. The job is based in BGC, Taguig City, Philippines.
About the role:
The Data Analyst Lead will be a lead partner for the business in terms of their data requirements, with the objective of embedding the culture of becoming data driven in running and growing the business. This role will lead a group of Data Analysts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of data analysts responsible for developing data products that generates actionable insights to support business initiatives.
- Develop and maintain valuable stakeholder relationships. He/she will act as a data business partner and understand key priorities. Expectations on deliverables and support should be properly communicated.
- Understand business problems, perform deep-dive analysis, and provide findings which are translated into actionable output and business value.
- Clean up and process raw data, correlates different types of data and able to recognize patterns.
- Converts data into relevant dashboards, reports, and insights. He/she should perform extensive data validation/quality assurance in every data asset his/her team are releasing.
- Experience in data mining activities
- Presents findings effectively to support stakeholders in important decision making.
- Configuration and maintenance of existing BI tools.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration. He/she will actively coach, promote personal development and execute career growth of data analysts.
Key requirements include:
- At least 10 years of experience in data analysis with proven business experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance industry
- Has data visualization experience in any BI tools. Solid experience in Powerbi (DAX and Power Query) is a plus.
- Strong SQL skillset is required. Experience in SAS, R and Python is a plus.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with advanced excel solutions
- Has familiarity with JIRA and Agile methodologies
- Has the ability to display flexibility to teams and adapt plan, approach and behavior to the different needs, cultures, and situations
