Executive Search Recruitment Firm, Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Logistic Division is partnering with an established courier company with strong presence within the consumer, logistics and technology sector to hire a Head of Global Network and Operations. This position is instrumental in driving the company's success by ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high service standards, and contributing to the company's growth and profitability. They work closely with other executives, especially the CEO and CFO, to achieve these objectives. Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Company's International logistics strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Research emerging markets with high e-commerce growth potential, such as Southeast Asia, Africa, or Latin America.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust logistics network, including transportation modes, warehousing, and customs clearance processes.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with international shipping, including customs clearance, import/export regulations, and security protocols.
- Negotiate favorable rates and service level agreements to optimize costs.
- Lead the team in delivering set objectives and goals. Communicate these objectives clearly and set SMART goals, performance manage the team whilst motivating and stretching the team to deliver the results required.
- Plan and execute stretched but deliverable results. Take ownership of gaps and possible areas of development and make the appropriate changes whilst developing a high-performance culture.
- Monitor and control logistics expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Implement dynamic pricing models to optimize revenue based on factors like demand, seasonality, and competition.
- Keep abreast of the market in which we operate covering areas such as ecommerce, technology in supply chain, global supply chain trends, economics and social development trends. Communicate these new trends internally to all stakeholders so we can strive for continuous improvement which will enable us to stay ahead of the curve and competitors.

- Communicate plans clearly and thoroughly to all stakeholders upwards and downwards.
- Develop and grow talent internally whilst building a succession plan for key positions.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Ensure best practices via adoption of current trends, technology, and new knowledge.
- Listen to market demands/voice of the customer and innovate solutions to meet these demands.
- Look at best practices from across key industries in which we have customers and adopt where possible.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and trends effectively under pressure.
- Communicate with Internal/external shareholders on business status, deliverables, and overall deliverable plans.
- Partner with major e-commerce platforms to reach a wider customer base and leverage their logistics infrastructure.
- Be the source of information and innovation in the field of international transport for customers via expert regulatory and supply chain knowledge.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to connect with potential clients and partners.
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of the global economy and key trade lanes related to Top trading lanes.
- A good amount of knowledge of international transportation, international trade, sales planning and development, customs & regulatory affairs, Sales, operations and CS management.
- Financial planning and P&L management & responsibilities.
- Minimum 10 years experiences in freight forwarding and logistics services.
- Must have experience working in upper management in the same or similar industry.
