Monroe Consulting Group is currently working with a leading global sports lifestyle brand. Our client is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Head of Merchandising. This role is critical in shaping product strategy, managing assortments, and driving performance across multiple channels, including retail, e-commerce, and wholesale. The position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall merchandising strategy for Indonesia, aligned with global and regional direction
- Manage end-to-end seasonal planning, product mix, pricing, and assortment decisions
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and sales data to guide merchandising decisions
- Partner with cross-functional teams including marketing, retail operations, and demand planning
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing merchandising team
- Drive sell-through, margin, and inventory targets across all channels
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in a sports, fashion, or lifestyle brand
- Strong leadership and commercial acumen with a track record of managing multiple product categories
- Deep understanding of the local market and consumer behavior
- Experience across various distribution channels (retail, wholesale, e-commerce)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
