Monroe Consulting Group is partnering with a leading hospital in Tangerang to recruit a Pharmacy Department Head who will lead and elevate the hospital's pharmaceutical services. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end pharmacy operations, ensuring medication safety, optimizing clinical pharmacy practices, and managing a large, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire pharmacy department, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and clinical pharmacy services.
  • Develop strategic initiatives, service standards, and SOPs to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication management.
  • Oversee formulary management, medication stewardship programs, and compliance with governmental and hospital regulations.
  • Provide clinical guidance to pharmacists, ensuring best practices in dispensing accuracy, therapeutic monitoring, and patient counseling.
  • Manage and mentor a large pharmacy team, including performance evaluation, workforce planning, and capability development.
  • Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and operational teams to support integrated, patient‑centered care.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, medication safety indicators, stock control efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Drive improvement projects, digitalization opportunities, and innovation within pharmacy services.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on departmental performance to senior leadership.


Qualifications

  • Master of Pharmacy degree (preferred); minimum Bachelor of Pharmacy with STRA and No. SIPA is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Manager or equivalent leadership role in a major hospital.
  • Proven capability in managing large teams and complex pharmacy operations.
  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows, clinical pharmacy practices, and medication management standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and commitment to patient safety.
