Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading national company with a core focus on plantations. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a senior workshop manager with at least twenty years' experience in a plantation workshop based in Samarinda, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Direct reporting to the Director
- Plan preventive maintenance and repair schedules for machinery, equipment, and vehicles according to manufacturer recommendations and operational needs.
- Allocate labour, spare parts, and budget for workshop activities.
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly work plans for workshop activities.
- Develop and ensure the implementation of clear and effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all workshop activities.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with SOPs and established quality standards.
- Monitor and evaluate workshop performance, including efficiency, costs, and work quality.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise in workshop operations.
- Provide training to mechanics and heavy equipment operators to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Enforce workplace safety standards in the workshop and ensure all workers understand and comply with safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Workshop/Traction/Transport Manager in a palm oil plantation company.
- Strong technical knowledge of machinery, equipment, and vehicles used in the palm oil industry.
- Relevant certifications preferred.
- Good leadership, communication, and effective interpersonal skills.
