Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of the world's largest supplier of semiconductor test equipment for logic, RF, analog, power, mixed-signal and memory technologies and deliver test solutions to developers and manufacturers of a broad range of integrated circuits, packaged separately or integrated as cells in system-on-a-chip (SOC) devices. This job is based on a permanent work-from-home set-up, the office is based in Cebu, Philippines.
Job Summary:
This position is for Application Tester (Software Quality Assurance). The primary responsibilities of this position are to review product specifications, develop detailed test plans for new product features ensuring adequate test coverage and perform different testing strategies. The application tester is also expected to maintain and contribute to the improvement of current testing framework.
Key Job responsibilities include:
- Continuously improve existing test cases and processes to increase efficiency and reliability
- Reproduce, isolate, and debug issues, providing detailed bug reports to the
- development team
- Record all test results for each test suite and provide a high-level summary of areas
- tested
- Maintain proper documentation for new and existing functionality by working closely
- with developers and business analysts
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities
- Suggest solutions to identified product issues
- Leverage automation for critical path and functional testing
- Participate and assist in User Acceptance Testing
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in web-based applications and technologies
- Experience in manual QA test
- Experience in using automated testing tools, especially with regression and load
- testing (SOAP UI/LOAD , JMETER or any load test suite experience is a plus)
- Experience in using JIRA
- Micro service testing experience is a plus
- API testing experience highly preferred
- Highly organized with good time and task management skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to work independently and self-directed
- Excellent command of the English language
- Willing to work in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu (temporary work from home for applicants within Cebu)
- Open for a 2-year contract position
- The position is open for Non-Cebu applicants (permanent wfh)
