Sales Head (Telco)

Monroe Consulting Indonesia is looking for a Sales Head position for our client, a multinational Telecommunication Devices/Infrastructure company that is growing their team in Indonesia. Job Description Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and GTM strategy for the Indonesia market, aligned with corporate objectives. Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with telco operators and ISPs. Conduct in-depth market research to analyze customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging trends in network infrastructure and cloud technologies. Act as the face of the company in Indonesia, representing the brand at industry events, exhibitions, and meetings with senior stakeholders. Own and achieve annual sales targets and KPIs for Indonesia. Proactively develop a robust sales pipeline and convert opportunities into revenue. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts. Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive and profitable deals. Manage the full sales lifecycle - from lead generation, proposal creation, contract negotiation, to deal closure. Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering, operations, marketing) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and market insights to the CEO and leadership team. Build, maintain, and expand C-level relationships with key decision-makers in telco operators and large-scale enterprises. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in Indonesia, ensuring long-term relationships and repeat business. Act as a trusted advisor, offering tailored solutions to meet client technical and commercial needs. Identify partnership opportunities with local distributors, technology partners, and industry bodies to accelerate market entry and brand awareness. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop localized campaigns and client engagement programs. Monitor industry regulations and compliance requirements for smooth market operations. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is an advantage. Minimum 8 years of proven experience in sales or business development in the telco network infrastructure and device sector (routers, switches, OTT, AI-integrated, cloud, or related solutions). Strong existing network and relationships with Indonesian telco operators. Demonstrated success in delivering multimillion-dollar sales and achieving growth targets. Deep understanding of telecommunications technologies, market trends, and procurement processes in Indonesia. Excellent commercial negotiation, strategic selling, and presentation skills. High level of self-motivation and ability to operate independently as an individual contributor. Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English. ​​​​​​​
