Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of one of Multinational Entertainment Company. Our respected client is seeking an executive with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Business Development Director, for this role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy for the company with clear approach in forecast, pipeline, and executional planning.
  • Develop, drive, and grow new business revenue from existing clients and new business opportunities with KPI to achieve top-line revenue growth based on target set.
  • Grow new business and licensing (sync) business revenue with key focus on growth and revenue generation from international, regional content and domestic signings.
  • Grow the opportunities of partnership with external parties to grow domestic artists potential to support their music.
  • Manage business function end-to-end and develop top class sales kit to stand out from competition and engage clients.
  • Align and work with multiple regional and local stakeholders.
  • Be part of the M&A team to drive market share by investing in domestic business that can grow the business
  • Set the digital development strategy for Indonesia by monitoring the trends in the media and tech ecosystem
  • Work with Regional Office on digital deal end-to-end approval process, from structure, negotiation, and execution of agreement to maximize long term growth
  • Maintain key partner relationships and find new ways to drive revenues and create opportunities on new and existing digital platforms, and actively identify and evaluate new potential partners in the digital/tech space- e.g. e-gaming, NFTs, etc
  • Support inorganic growth strategy through identification, screening, assessment and execution of potential investments/divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships/alliances in the music/tech space
  • Lead due diligence and work with internal teams and external legal and financial advisors in structuring transactions and assist the negotiations of transaction terms and definitive documentation
  • Client servicing - to develop and grow relationship with existing client's leadership team.
  • Strategize and drive growth in new business revenue from engagements, events and endorsements
  • Develop and expand expertise and strong business network and relationship to ensure the company accessibilities of all key business opportunities.
  • Plan and execute the business opportunities and deal negotiation and strive for the best terms for the company.
  • Plan and manage pitch meetings with brands and agencies.
  • Drive and proactively seek and acquisition of brand partnership opportunities.
  • Plan, develop and implement business strategies for Brand Partnership and grow the business.
  • Establishing new brand partnerships capabilities by identifying requirement and resources.

Job requirements:

  • Proven experience in driving revenue from business development and partnership.
  • Sales experience in B2B and B2B Account management experience
  • Deep knowledge in digital innovation specially for consumer technology and social media.
  • Wide business network from multiple industries mainly involving digital technology.
  • 10+ years relevant experience with strong track record in driving business & financial performance
  • Comprehensive understanding of major new media platforms and businesses, and emerging technology trends.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated with high level of initiative & strong drive to achieve desired business results
  • Ability to structure and negotiate financing and acquisition transactions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in verbal and written English
  • Demonstrated successful experience in business development and selling to brands and agencies.
  • Extensive understanding of business development and brand marketing challenges.
  • With a strong contact list of brands and their agencies.
  • Experienced in managing events and concert P/L.
  • Organized, highly commercial with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High energy with strong self-motivation to seek and develop opportunities and generate revenue.
  • Results driven with a relentless desire to accomplish KPIs and exceptional growth.
  • Experience in Music and Entertainment industry is highly desirable.
  • University graduate in Business related disciplines.
