Business Development Manager (Testing & Inspection Services)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of one of public listed company in Europe. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 20 years' experience in Testing and Inspection Services in multinational company for the job of Business Development Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:

  • Direct report to the Country Sales and the CEO
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Undertake research and target companies and markets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Promoting the company and its service to existing and potential customers
  • Plan and direct the Sales activities of by performing the duties personally or through
  • subordinate personnel
  • Preparation of tenders, expressions of interest and customized proposals and presentation
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additional to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Sales Department
  • Prospect for potential clients and turn this into increased business


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Engineering, or related field with at least 20 years' experience in testing and inspection services and project, in multinational company
  • More than 20 years of practical experience in Renewable Energy, Mining or Mining Services, preferably with remote jobsite experience and international experience would also be an advantage
  • Strong commercial orientation with an ability to understand customer requirements and conceptualize those into a commercial proposal outline
  • Good understanding Business Code of Ethics and data privacy standards
  • Outstanding Customer Service Skills
  • Proficient in MS Software
  • Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Good critical thinking, problem solving, analytical and research skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Management Professional Certificates (is an advantage)
  • Multi party management i.e. subcontractors, client, other vendors etc
  • Revenue / financial management - pertaining to client contract values
  • Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation, and conflict management skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • The administrative side of this role requires good computer skills to analyse data and create reports
  • This position requires analytical skills and the ability to interpret information from numerous sources to prepare and present reports
  • Certified in Sales Management
  • Certified in Strategic Management
  • Certified in Pipeline Management & CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
