On behalf of a business & engineering consultancy company, we are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager - Asia and International to lead and manage compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions. Based in Jakarta, this role is responsible for ensuring that operations in Asia (including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, and the Philippines) as well as other international regions remain compliant with all statutory, regulatory, and internal requirements.
You will play a pivotal role in coordinating diverse compliance functions including corporate governance, legal entity management, tax and finance compliance, employment law, health and safety standards, and international employee mobility requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end compliance processes across various countries in Asia and other international markets.
- Ensure timely execution of corporate secretarial duties, such as board documentation and statutory filings.
- Manage business license renewals and ensure fulfillment of "Right to Operate" requirements.
- Supervise finance and tax-related compliance, including reporting, filing, and audit coordination.
- Support the setup and dissolution of legal entities in new or existing regions.
- Monitor compliance with local employment laws and workplace safety regulations.
- Oversee immigration and mobility compliance for employees working across borders.
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance activity register and provide regular reporting to leadership.
- Collaborate with regional teams and departments such as Legal, Finance, HR, and Health & Safety.
- Coordinate with external advisors to stay abreast of changes in local compliance landscapes.
- Work with the Compliance Risk team to identify priorities and mitigate risks.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance compliance efficiency.
- Deliver high-quality compliance reports, highlighting trends, risks, and recommended actions.
- Provide advisory support and best practice guidance to local offices and stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing complex, cross-border compliance operations, preferably in multinational environments.
- Proven track record in handling multi-jurisdictional compliance matters.
- Strong familiarity with Asia-Pacific regulatory and statutory frameworks.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
