Engineering Manager

International award-winning executive recruitment expert Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an international Furniture Sourcing Company. Our client is seeking for Engineering Manager. Reporting to Director of Product Development & Engineering.

Job Summary:

  • Lead and manage practical, training in continuous improvement in engineering process within quality department as well as support other functional areas. Need to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in problem solving and process driving.
  • Engineering standard and documentations set up and maintain.
  • Implementation of existing infrastructure improvement plan.
  • Work with quality team to address quality standard and requirements to suppliers.
  • Push suppliers to compliant to company requirements and expectations.
  • Lead and followup pre-production review process, communication between suppliers and company

Job Responsibilities:

  • In charge technical issue from drawings to production, accountable for customer shop drawings approvals and finish approvals prior to releasing for production development.
  • Pre-Production Review process driving through and follow-up.
  • Quality Issues generation and follow up in Quality Intelligence System, dominator and CLS system
  • Ensure design and quality intent properly executed through production stage.
  • Clearly communicate custom expectations throughout all facets of product development:construction, design, finish, samples and production.
  • Responsible for product technical review with suppliers.
  • Participate in the review of preproduction/first article samples.
  • Review customer specifications and validate to ensure they align with supply base capabilities.
  • Monitor daily manufacturing efficiency and work with team members to improve it continuously.
  • Leading engineering team to follow up projects and introduce into implement process.

Job Requirements:

  • College and above.
  • Major in furniture, forestry,or other engineering subjects.
  • Experience of engineering of work process, furniture field work.
  • Prefer to have trading/sourcing company work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools;CAD drawing reading.
  • Good English skill(speaking and writing)
