Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is partnering with a leading life science and analytical supplier company in Malaysia. We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the business through an ambitious growth journey and to work with the Regional team to drive performance on the ground while advancing the Group's strategic objectives. This position is based in Selangor and the General Manager will have report directly to the Group's CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth operational transition, including shoring up relationships with customers, principals and employees
- Set strategic direction for the company, establish growth ambitions and evaluate new product opportunities to strengthen and diversify portfolio.
- Set annual targets and goals, drive business performance and build performance culture
- Full financial accountability for the business, including P&L, BS, Cash
- Establish best practices in operations management in all departments
- Work with regional team on M&A opportunities as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent, Masters a plus
- Minimum 20 years experience in Life Science / Analytical solutions sector
- P&L responsibility overseeing business of at least MYR40-50Mn, with track record of growing businesses
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills, leading cross functional teams including back office (logistics, supply chain, finance etc)
- Should have strong influencing skill sets.
- Strong compliance culture
- Hands-on approach with sales rigor and tracking for management reporting
- Should be familiar with digital tools and functionalities
- Excellent business network which can lead to business opportunities
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills
- Strategic in thinking, driven and problem solver.
