Executive Recruitment Firm Monroe Consulting is currently recruiting on behalf of an established GLC with a strong presence within the consumer, logistics and technology sector. Our distinguished client is currently hiring for a Group Head of Procurement to bring transformation to the organization.

A Group Head of Procurement is responsible for leading the procurement function across the organization. You will develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, drive efficiency, and ensure the timely availability of goods and services. You will also oversee supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement processes to support the organization's goals and objectives.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement transformation project - focused on cost reduction, service excellence, continuous improvement and integration of P2P processes and systems.
  • Being a subject matter expert in procure to pay operating model, end to end process and metrics/ performance management.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure the availability of goods and services in line with business requirements.
  • Advocate for digital and technology improvements and work with IT to implement or improve existing procurement technologies for additional productivity improvement.
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management on procurement activities and performance.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure procurement practices are compiled with firm guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage contracts and ensure the arrangement of contracts is in place and safeguard the firm's interest.
  • Lead major procurement activities, including evaluation, negotiation, contract, and award.
  • Provide recommendations on Procurement strategies, processes & procedures leveraging on Analytics.
  • Ensure procurement process are transparent, ethical, and compiled with the legal requirement and compliances policies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the procurement team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with Stakeholders/Business Units in identifying cost effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement in terms of procurement competitiveness and processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Tactical and process-oriented problem solving
  • Strong professional experience in Procurement functions or Supply Chain functions
  • Prior managerial experience in Sourcing & Procurement, experience in strategic sourcing, and procure to pay transformation.
  • Experience in leading team members on activities such as as-is process and maturity assessment, technology evaluation, opportunity identification, business case and roadmap creation and implementation of recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
  • Good team player, strategic thinking, decision making & analytical skills.
