Head of Merchandising (Consumer Goods)

Monroe Consulting Group is currently working with a leading global sports lifestyle brand. Our client is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Head of Merchandising. This role is critical in shaping product strategy, managing assortments, and driving performance across multiple channels, including retail, e-commerce, and wholesale. The position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall merchandising strategy for Indonesia, aligned with global and regional direction
  • Manage end-to-end seasonal planning, product mix, pricing, and assortment decisions
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and sales data to guide merchandising decisions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including marketing, retail operations, and demand planning
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing merchandising team
  • Drive sell-through, margin, and inventory targets across all channels


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in a sports, fashion, or lifestyle brand
  • Strong leadership and commercial acumen with a track record of managing multiple product categories
  • Deep understanding of the local market and consumer behavior
  • Experience across various distribution channels (retail, wholesale, e-commerce)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
