Head of Operations (Specialty Chemicals & Ingredients)

International award-winning executive recruitment expert Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a multinational company specializes in manufacturing, trading in chemical product.

Job Summary:

The operations manager will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve the sales organization's operational excellence through process enhancements.
  • Align procurement and sales deliverables; optimize inventory levels.
  • Ensure the performance and compliance of Operations and Customer Services.
  • Manage and optimize inventory, which includes forecasting, material purchase approval, and provision booking.
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
  • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance of 3PL warehouse facilities according to business requirements
  • Drive for IT connectivity and data interfacing with 3PL providers
  • Take the lead in the roll-out of global / regional IT & digitalization initiatives for the Operations & Supply Chain function
  • Oversee and regulate the EDI interaction with LSPs (only when connect to JDE 9.2 platform)

Job Requirements:

  • Background with demonstrable work experience (>5 years) in (similar) supply chain / logistics role (prefer has experience in chemical/ingredient industry)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both Vietnamese and English)
  • Excellent understanding of the Vietnamese logistics market
  • Ability to interact successfully with both internal and external parties
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Project management skills: utilized to coordinate operations involving many departments
