Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia, an executive recruitment firm is partnering with a multinational frozen food supplier to hire a HRBP. This role will support the regional HR initiatives with a particular focus on CSR program management, employee onboarding, and talent development across the APAC operations. While the role involves engagement with business leaders, the initial focus will be on strengthening the HR function and internal processes. This opportunity is based in Selangor, Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - Global Oversight
- Lead and manage the global CSR strategy and implementation.
- Ensure alignment with organizational values and ESG goals.
- Monitor and report CSR impact, working with local and regional teams to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Engage with external partners and NGOs as needed to support CSR initiatives.
2. Employee Onboarding Experience
- Oversee and continuously improve the onboarding journey for new hires, particularly CDD (fixed-term contract) employees.
- Collaborate with centralized HR teams to ensure onboarding is carried out consistently and effectively.
- Define and refine the "first-day experience," including scheduling key meetings, welcome sessions, and care packages.
- Identify onboarding gaps and lead initiatives to enhance engagement and retention from day one.
3. Talent Development & Learning
- Partner with HR and business leaders to assess learning needs and craft effective L&D strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and liaise with external training providers (including those under HRDF schemes and global programs).
- Support the development of leadership and functional training pathways aligned with organizational goals.
- Track and evaluate training ROI and employee growth.
4. HR Team Support & Collaboration
- Act as a key supporting partner to the internal HR team, helping to build scalable, people-first solutions.
- Provide HR guidance in alignment with global HR policies and programs.
- Participate in global/regional HR projects and contribute to best practice sharing across countries.
5. Regional Oversight - APAC
- Support the execution of HR initiatives across APAC countries.
- Ensure compliance with regional labor laws, cultural nuances, and HR best practices.
- Travel across the region as needed to provide hands-on support and alignment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in an HRBP or generalist capacity with exposure to L&D and/or CSR.
- Experience managing CSR programs and/or sustainability initiatives is a plus.
- Regional experience across APAC markets highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and navigate matrixed environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally.
