Our respected client is seeking a Investment Associate with suitable qualifications. The Investment Associate will play a crucial role in supporting our client's investment activities by conducting thorough research, financial analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive research on market trends, industry sectors, and potential investment opportunities.
- Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify investment risks and opportunities.
Financial Modeling and Valuation:
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate the financial performance and potential return on investment of target companies.
- Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
Due Diligence:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including financial statement analysis, management team assessment, and operational evaluation.
- Prepare detailed due diligence reports and investment memos for presentation to the investment committee.
Portfolio Management:
- Assist in monitoring the performance of portfolio companies, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
- Support the preparation of regular portfolio reviews and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio companies, co-investors, and industry experts.
- Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and other activities to promote the firm and its mission.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management.
- Proven track record in end to end investment analysis - from financial due diligence to portfolio management
- Background in investment banking / private equity / venture capital / deals advisory consulting firm is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Open - minded and passionate about impact investing
