Key Account Manager (Chinese business) - Chemical Construction

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational chemical company. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10-15 years' experience in chemical construction for the job of Key Account Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Prepare and present formal and informal presentations and seminars for owners, contractors, and the specifying community.
  • Work with the internal team to change and attain new specifications preferential to the company. Influence contractors/specifiers inclusion of company's products for value added purpose and/or when they are not in specifications.
  • Execute strategy to maximize sales with main contractors; identify new sales opportunities. Penetrate organization at highest level possible, building integral relationships and supporting negotiation with Chinese stakeholders.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Planning and control of sales departments to ensure the target is achieved
  • Monitor and take action on sales efficiency and effectiveness while attaining exponential /fast growing sales result
  • Prepare the groundwork/ start-up preparation, including market survey (such as listing down potential clients), involved in the product development, building up the organization, and getting details ready for initial sales activities

Job Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration and/or Engineering with good English and Chinese
  • Min 5 to 10 years' experience within construction/real estate industry
  • Project experience with Chinese owner/architect/consultants
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent analytical, planning and time management skills, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent in problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skill
  • Network within the industry and past participation in local and/or national industry associations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Intensive travelling will be required.
