Key Account Manager - Paints & Coatings Industry
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on chemical. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a Key Account Manager professional with at least 10 years of experience with a multinational company for the job of Key Account Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.


Key job responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the regional commercial excellence team and the country customer marketing team, to negotiate with the customers for deployment of the category drivers
  • Manage the relationships with customers with the objective to grow the share of wallet with the different customers/ groups and increasing the market share within the segment
  • Responsible for developing strategic and tactical initiatives to drive assortment placement within the segment with defined business agreement, addressing both the needs to the customer and company to drive category growth with the customers
  • Scale up of category management and key account initiatives in the country
  • The role will also be responsible for an annual review of the various strategic program
  • Working with other functions in the country to ensure implementation of the program developed
  • Utilise the program to deliver incremental revenues and productivity as per agreed road map

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years combined experience in paints and coatings with knowledge of chemical processes with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial position
  • Have strong experienced and market knowledge in paints and coatings
  • Strong in Account Management, Category Management & Business Acumen
  • Mastering Distributor Management will be an advantage
  • Possess leadership to head the team
  • Strong ability to coordinate and communicate with the team and across to other departments/ companies (matrix organization)
  • Capability to work independently (analyse, plan, action, control) with initiative and creativity to ensure operational excellence
  • English language, international business experience highly desirable
  • Experienced professional with an entrepreneurial character and a "hands-on approach."
