Job Summary
As a Pre-Sales and Technical Support Engineer, you will bridge technical expertise and customer engagement to drive sales success and ensure post-sales satisfaction. You will collaborate with the sales team to assist with sales activities and account management, propose relevant solutions that meet client needs, deliver pre-sales consultation, solution demonstrations, and post-sales technical support to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful implementation of our products. This hybrid role demands a balance of technical acumen, sales collaboration, and client advocacy.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Demos & Presentations
- Assist with sales activities and account management.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose suitable scanning solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept trials for clients.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, solution proposals, and configuration recommendations.
- Assist in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders with technical input.
- Provide competitive analysis and product positioning insights to the sales team.
Technical Customer Support
- Provide first-level and second-level technical support for scanner products via phone, email, or onsite visits.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues related to scanning devices.
- Perform installations, maintenance, and training sessions for clients and partners.
- Escalate unresolved issues to regional/global support and coordinate resolution.
- Monitor and document customer feedback and technical issues to improve product support.
Key Job Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in pre-sales or technical support roles, ideally in the printer/scanner or office automation industry.
- Strong understanding of printer/scanner hardware, drivers, firmware, networking, and integration with OS platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Familiarity with print management solutions, MFP devices, and scanning workflows is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language.
- Willing to travel for onsite support, demos, and training.
Preferred Skills & Traits
- Certifications in printer or MFP servicing (e.g., Canon, Epson, HP, Ricoh) is advantageous.
- Experience with cloud printing, print security, or enterprise IT integration.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
- Able to work independently.
