Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational FMCG company. Our client is looking for a Product Development Scientist to drive innovation by developing desirable, viable, and feasible products that support the growth of key brands. This is a full-time, onsite role based at the Antipolo Factory, with a Monday to Friday work schedule
Job Responsibilities:
- Translate customer, shopper, and consumer insights into desirable, viable, and feasible product solutions from initial concept through to industrialisation.
- In collaboration with cross-functional partners, establish a 3+ year pipeline of product solutions for key brands that leverages global, local, and external manufacturing capabilities, ensuring aligned plans for technical capability and execution.
- Define new product Key Quality Attributes and monitor product performance to ensure products meet consumer expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and drive value leadership opportunities in the raw material portfolio to improve product cost structures while maintaining key quality attributes.
- Develop, optimize, and embed tools and approaches that continuously improve the effectiveness of R&D capabilities, processes, and standards.
- Role model the Five Principles, embody Mars' unique culture, and provide technical leadership to support the delivery of R&D and business strategy.
Key job qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in science/food science, Engineering, or related subject areas.
- Knowledge / Experience
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in product development, preferably within chocolate, confectionery, bakery, or ice cream.
- Strong project management capability with the ability to motivate and direct a technical team of peers.
- Experience working in cross-functional project teams and multi-disciplinary R&D environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in product design and development, translating consumer and market insights into scalable product solutions.
