Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a multinational shipping and delivery company. Our respected client is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst who will be supporting the development of applications. This is currently a work-from-home setup, but the office is located in BGC, Taguig.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Application development, quality assurance (automated testing) in all aspects, and driving/leading development efforts within an Agile team
- Providing technical direction for the development, design, system integration for business/vendor engagement from planning/definition through implementation/delivery
- Developing viable solution architectural design, system design, and networking with existing cloud infrastructure
- Implementing DevSecOps and CI/CD automated pipelines for cloud environments with existing tooling and infrastructure to automate the release, deployment, and upgrade processes as well as to provide consulting services to application and infrastructure teams specific to automated build, test, deployment, and release
- Overseeing the operations and operating environment for the DevOps platforms and will drive troubleshooting efforts around incidents and outages.
- Liaising with cross-functional business units for overall coordination, status reporting & stability of complex & cross-functional project-oriented work efforts
- Managing multiple projects scope and communicating progress simultaneously
- Leading project activities through meeting facilitation among stakeholders
- Assisting in the development of business cases in all aspects of financial analysis, costing, and manages project budgets & spending
- Creating, reviewing, and documenting all IT compliance and audit documentation with the Global Development Process (System Requirements, Unit Test documents, Code Review, BCDR etc.)
- Application or Host Security and Vulnerability mitigation and management
- Supervising the work of overseas vendors
- Developing existing and new team development processes and procedures for business agility
Job Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, MIS, or related IT discipline
- Solid experience in UI language/framework (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, etc) with at least one of the front-end JavaScript frameworks (react, angular, vue), and at least one of the OOP preferably Java or C#
- Solid experience in developing Spring Boot Microservices, essentially with exposures to Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Spring Security etc.
- Experience in Database design and SQL, preferably Oracle or Sybase
- Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube)
- Experience in Quality Assurance tasks development such as automated code unit testing, e2e testing, application profiling, and performance fine-tuning
- Experience in Agile methodologies and its management tool (e.g., JIRA, VersionOne) on the software development process
- Experience in mobile app development will be a plus
- Experience in cloud-native migration will be a plus (such as pcf, docker, 12-factor app, redis, message broker like Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Knowledge in a distributed version control system such as Git, Github, GitLab and build tool (maven, gradle)
- Knowledge in Linux/Unix OS, Shell scripts
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Able to work under pressure and independently to meet business-critical timeline
